Sorry for the lack of posting lately! We've just settled into our school routine so well, that I just take time to read and then move on! Hopefully I can remedy that.

The weather has been really great here lately. We've had good rain so maybe our leaves will be really pretty in a couple more weeks. We've been really busy at church the past few weeks. We had Back to Church Sunday a couple of weeks ago and we hit a record high of attendence. About 230 people in our church! It was awesome. We had a great turn out for SS and certainly for services. Afterwards, we fed everyone! I got "stuck" (haha....pun really wasn't intended!) making cotton candy! The kids loved it. We had hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, drinks, and cotton candy for everyone that came and even a few people from the community that heard we were feeding people for free! Last week we had youth led Sunday. They did a really great job with music, skits, and our intern preaching.

I love watching to see what the Lord is doing in our church! It's exciting to see His people excited again! I love seeing all the new people that are getting involved.

Blogger won't let me upload pictures, SO that's it for today!

Brownie Making

The boys helped me make brownies for a Ladies' Luncheon at church a few weeks ago. They loved getting to do all the work by themselves.

Perfect Day

This is how we spent a perfect day last Saturday. Daddy has been working a lot lately and we were ALL really happy that he finally had a day off. And the weather was beautiful!

Do You Remember?

I knew that today was coming up. I knew that this weekend it would be Sept.11. However, when I woke up this morning and turned on foxnews, I had completely forgotten. How easily I forgot. Now as the day is going on, I start to remember where I was. What I was wearing. How I heard about it. I remember a certain few pictures of President Bush from that day. Images that never leave me. Poignant photos of a man that new his country would never be the same.

On September 11, 2001 I had bowling class. I went to class in sweats. When I got home, Brent came out and said "You've got to come see this!" Planes are crashing into the World Trade Centers. I couldn't believe what was happening. It still seems so surreal. That someone had the audacity to come into our country and take what was ours. Talk about a thief in our midst.

Today as I remember that day, I pray for our President. I pray for the families, that may never have closure. I pray for all of our service men and women that are fighting still today for this country.

Where Two or More Are Gathered in HIS Name

Today this sweet little boy goes in for a cancer scan. Please pray for him and his family! They have fought cancer so hard with such faith and courage the past few months. Today they find out if his cancer is gone if the chemo has worked. I know they would all covet your prayers as they find out results!

Update: JED IS CANCER FREE!!
