Basketball Camp

On Tuesday my friend Jennifer called and asked if Xavier wanted to go to a FREE basketball camp at her parents church. Of course I said yes, so off he went that afternoon. Turns out that Naia could go in the mornings, and she actually wanted to go! I'm so excited! My daughter actually played a sport for two whole days and loved it! So the kids both went to camp the past three days. Naia from 9-12 and Xavier from 1-4. What a great end of the summer activity.

That's about all that's gone on here this week. We've not done anything exciting. We did have water night in preschool Team kid last night and that was a hoot! Water night in the cold rainy weather! Our little kids froze to death.

I got a makeover...

Well not a full makeover, and NO I do not have before and after photos. Those of you that know me in real life, I think there may be maybe one of you who read my blog! Know that I don't wear a ton of make up. Here in the past year or so, I've just been using a tinted moisturizer as foundation, a little blush, and some mascara and on a normal day, I'm good to go. Now "dressing up" I'd wear a little eye shadow and some eye liner and really think that I'd done good! So yesterday I met my mom in Little Rock for a little Retail therapy with no kids! We went to this new JC Penney's there and it's so "fancy" for lack of a better word! It has a Sephora beauty shop inside of it. We love going there! It has brands that no other Penney's around us carries. (Can you tell I'm easy to please shopping?!) So anyways, I ask the sales woman if she could teach me to do a smokey eye. So she starts my eyes and we end up doing a whole facial make over! Much fun! And I learned how to make my eyes look really great too! Not a smokey eye, mind you, but good eyes nonetheless! I also bought some really big hoop earrings. Just doing these things makes me feel good. Today I got up and did my makeup for real. Even though I put my hair up in a pony, I had on cute earrings, and it just made me feel so much better about myself. I'm not usually such a girl but I needed yesterday to really make me feel like a woman and not mommy!

Treehouse

So for Naia's birthday she told her Nona and Papaw that she wanted a new swingset. This is what she ended up with! Xavier now has a two story on stilts treehouse with a secret trap door on the inside. Complete with a sign on the outside that says No Girls Allowed...or else. There is a 3 swing swing set in between them that they have played on week. And on the other side Naia's "dollhouse" play house. A friend from church built it. They did a great job. Without further ado....our tree house!

Home Sweet Home

Finally home from the beach. I am just now feeling like I'm well rested from vacation! Paxton decided that it would be TONS of fun to be up at 5:30 a.m. every day of vacation! So sleep in we did NOT! We had a great time at the beach, but just let me say....I will probably not ever go without Brent and/or a babysitter again! Especially while the kids are so young! It was a very tiring week! Enjoy the pictures from the week. There are also a couple from the lake and around the house, b/c unfortunately when you're at the beach with three or more kids alone, you don't have too much time to take pics!

Headed to the Beach

We are leaving this weekend for the beaches of Florida! We can't wait. One full week of being on the beach every day that the weather, and kids too I guess, allow!

Today is our 9th wedding anniversary! We had a date last night, our fist since bringing Paxton home, and it was fabulous! Dinner and a movie doesn't get much better than last night. While at the movie theater, all the band campers from the local college were there! It brought back tons of memories, b/c 15 years ago Brent and I met for the first time at band camp at this same college band camp! Of course now we like to think that we didn't act like they did last night, but I'm sure that we did! We had a good time though. Happy Anniversary to us!
